Steve started his career in the theatre as an acting ASM appearing as Pirate Starkey in "Peter Pan" at the Richmond Theatre, London, opposite Bonnie Langford and Robert Powell. He subsequently performed and understudied a number of roles including performances opposite Su Pollard and Shane Richie.
He went on to stage manage and then later company manage a variety of operas, plays, musicals and ballets representing many of the worlds leading producers in some of the most prestigious venues around the globe.
Steve has had the pleasure of working alongside some of the most highly respected creatives in the business, including Gillian Lynne, Claude-Michel Schönberg, Arlene Phillips, Stephen Daldry and has managed artists of the highest calibre including Mickey Rooney, Brian Blessed, Richard Wilson, John Barrowman, Simon Shepherd, Joe Pasquale, Marti Webb, Wayne Sleep, Suranne Jones, John Savident, Johnny Briggs and Tina O'Brien.
As a Producer, Steve has presented a number of shows and concerts including Italian tenor Renato Pagliari, iconic dancer and television personality Wayne Sleep and comedy legends Phil Cool and Richard Digance.
He made his directing debut at the Liverpool Empire Theatre with "Cinderella", starring Cilla Black, Les Dennis and Jennifer Ellison. The production received rave revues and was billed as “Britain’s biggest and brightest pantomime” - Stage Newspaper 2009.
Steve spent three years with Northern Ballet as General Manager and was Executive Producer for their production of "Peter Pan" in Hong Kong and Macau in 2010.
In early 2011 he took over as Theatre Manager of the Aldwych Theatre in London's West End, home to award-winning smash hit musical "Dirty Dancing" and is employed by theatrical impresario Michael Codron CBE who operates the theatre on behalf of American theatre giant Nederlander Theatre Group.
Steve continues to consult Northern Ballet and Carl Rosa Opera on their international tour programming and is a strategic adviser to Yorkshire Dance.
Steve is currently Executive Producer on the UK and international tour of groundbreaking contemporary jazz production "Miles Ahead" working alongside top choreographer and director, Dollie Henry, arranger and composer, Paul Jenkins and award-winning lighting designer, Graham McLusky.
